Ruth Amos is an accomplished Senior Executive, RN, Attorney, and Board Member with more than 20 years of success in healthcare, law and advisory consulting. Leveraging extensive experience with digital transformation, healthcare policy and change management, Ruth is a valuable asset for companies seeking guidance on healthcare regulatory compliance and improving business process and operations. Her broad areas of expertise include US and global healthcare policy, healthcare information technology, business process improvement, and hospital operations.
In her position as Co-Founder of Blockchain in Healthcare Global IEEE/ISTO (BiHG), Ruth is part of a multidisciplinary leadership team that seeks to mitigate risks and barriers to adoption of blockchain and converging innovations (AI, IoMT, etc.) in healthcare and the life and social sciences while advancing progress in scientific replicability, medical ethics, human rights, and global inclusion.
She is currently in discussions with Cogent Law Group to grow a blockchain law practice for the healthcare sector.
Throughout her executive career, Ruth has held leadership positions with Ernst & Young (EY) in roles of progressive leadership for Global Advisory Methods and Healthcare performance improvement. At Kaiser Permanente, Ruth served as Regional Clinical Manager where she led EPIC EHR Deployment and Optimization across 18 hospitals. In addition, Ruth taught Policy and Ethics for the Health IT Master’s Program at the University of San Francisco. She currently serves as Advisory Board Chair for the program.
Ruth holds a Juris Doctorate in law and a degree in Registered Nursing. In 2014, she was appointed to the HIMSS Legal Task Force, a special group of health IT attorneys that review legislation from the U.S. Congress. She is a current member of the California State and United States Supreme Court Bars (Washington DC Bar pending).
